After participating in this activity, you should be able to:
- Describe interconception care as preventive care focused on optimizing overall health and wellbeing, regardless of future pregnancy intentions
- Encourage and assist patients who experienced pregnancy complications to identify and manage new health conditions after pregnancy
- Encourage and assist patients with chronic health conditions to continue managing those conditions after pregnancy
- Counsel patients considering future childbearing about healthy pregnancy spacing
