After participating in this activity, you should be able to:
- Describe preventive health as the foundation of preconception health
- Encourage and assist patients of reproductive age to optimize their overall health, regardless of pregnancy intention
- Ask about reproductive wishes and goals in a patient-centered way
- Identify components of high-quality preventive care that can also prepare patients for a healthy pregnancy, if one were to occur
